I read that Freddie Mac is introducing a new program Feb. 1st. They are allowing a grace period of up to a year for those loans it guarantees. I'm sure there must be more criteria than that.
How can I learn if my mortgage is guaranteed by them?
Thanks!

Google the Fannie mae loan lookup, or Freddie Mac loan lookup, enter your information and it will tell you if your loan is owned by one of them.

On the Fannie site look up Announcement SVC-2012-01
Call the 800 Customer Service telephone number for your mortgage and ask them: Is my mortgage owned by Freddie Mac?
Their answer is 100% reliable.
The look-up screens you will have to find and figure out how to use them and they are not 100% reliable.
