If a creditor is garnishing my wages, does this mean there is a lien on my inherited propertyl.

My mother left me and 2 brothers her house in 2002 when she passed away. We are now getting ready to sell the house. I have a judgment lien against me for an unsecured personal loan. They are now garnishing my wages. I need to know if this judgment will come out at settlement or not since they are now garnishing my wages.
Welcome JoyTaylor,

Your creditor has received a judgment against you so that he can garnish your wages. He cannot place a lien on your property now. If he wants to do so, he will have to file another lawsuit against you.
