Saturday we were pressured into buying a Vacation Internationale Timeshare. We now realize at our age (79 and 70) this is not only foolish but we cannot afford it. Can we use the 72 hour escape clause to get out of this contract. If yes, how do we go about it.
if they provided you with documents describing your right to cancel, those very documents ought to give you the precise information on how to proceed.
if you can't find that information, you might want to contact your state's attorney general's office to get a feel for what you need to do. i'm quite sure that office has plenty of information on timeshares and how to wiggle out of what seems to be an ironclad contract in too many cases.
give them a call.
