If I'm late for a few months but never get any more than 2 payments behind, can the mortgage company do anything other than late fees. I'm trying to catch up and have every intention of it and will by God's grace. But these people are driving me crazy, they call the next day after a payment is late and demand setting up the payment by using post dated check by phone, which is an additional charge even from them. I'm not going to lose my home if anyway possible, but I'm tired of them being so demanding. Yes I know I made a promise to make my payments and I will, but to keep my insanity I thinking about changing my cell # which is the only phone I have and then if they call me at work I will tell them that I do not have a number that they can reach me at anymore and for all future correspondence to use the mail and my company can put a stop to the calls at work. I just don't want any surprises from them, I'm tired of having to more or less beg each time they call.
Hello Klyce,
I can't help but to ask, who is your mortgage through? Have you tried contacting someone higher up the ladder than these collectors calling you? From what I understand a lot of mortgage companies will atleast take a look at your account to see what kind of options you might have. I'm sorry to say that even if you're only 30 days past due a mortgage company can threaten foreclosure on you but most won't actually foreclose until your much further behind than that.

they're going to call you because they want to know when you can make your next payment. is it a bother? yes, indeed. the only way to make them stop is to get caught up. yes, you can get them off your back by doing what you said you'd do. if that's going to soothe you, go for it.
how much can a moblie home lot charge for a repo
repossession costs are set by the agency hired to do the actual taking. if there are any statutory limits, you'd probably be wise to contact your attorney general's office to determine what they might be. another alternative, if that's not suitable, would be to survey some repossession agencies to see what they'd charge for that service.
