Due to job loss, I had to file bankruptcy Chapter 7. We are trying hard to save my house. But now the HOA is demanding their fees - $1000 and we cannot pay it. They have threatened that they will place a lien and foreclose the property. Can they do this after I have filed bankruptcy?
Hi Matthews,
If you are still in bankruptcy and it is not discharged yet, then the HOA will not be able to place a lien on the property or foreclose it.
Thanks
