I am new to this forum but I wanted to send this link out to everyone who is not aware of the new FEDERAL legislation that was approved on 10/1/08 - It is called "HOPE for Homeowners". If you are upside down in your mortgage - you need to go to this website:

This could be the solution to part of the current housing crisis IF they also said that Lenders MUST assist homeowners in the described situations. They don't though, so once again, it is up to the lenders to decide if they will allow homeowners to stay in their homes rather than face foreclosure. It seems so much of this new legislation comes so close, but yet is still so far off.

The Hope for Homeowners program will probably be able to reduce the number of foreclosures throughout the nation. However, we're yet to see the pros and cons of such a program as it will be applicable only from October 1, 2008.

pleasehelp me i am not to smart but i know that i do not want to lose my familys home please i need help get what ever it takes to keep our house i am not to good with paper work or computers so all help is welcomed

What kind of help do you need regarding house payment? If you're unable to make the payments, then you should contact your lender and apply for a loan modification. This will help you in getting an affordable payment plan in order to save your property.
