I made an initial investment of $3300.00 on a property with an agreed return of $10,000 in 90 days. The 90 days has past and the I have not received my money. There has been repeated request but still nothing. I have been told to put a lien on his property. Can this be done in small claims court or do I need to go another route.
you might be able to do it in small claims court - check with the local court and see what the limits are. you'll need to send a demand letter to the person who scammed you (and, yes it was a scam).

What did you get in writing if anything? You should hire an attorney.
