I share a joint mortgage with my wife. However, my financial situation is not good and I may have to file bankruptcy. Can i take my name off the deeds and leave it in my wife's name?
Hi Fishy,
Immediately after transferring the property to your wife, you will not be able to file bankruptcy. It might be considered as fraudulent.
Take care

Hi Fishy,
I agree with what Sara has said. After a property transfer, you will have to wait for 1 year or more before you can file bankruptcy.
Thanks
