I own a property in Nevada, and was wondering if, in the event that I foreclose on the property, and that the mortgage lender seeks a deficiency judgment against me, can they place a lien/judgment/go after my properties outside of Nevada, in non-deficiency judgment states?
Hi akadishah,
I don't think the lender can go after your other properties located outside of Nevada. If your property in Nevada goes into foreclosure and the lender seeks a deficiency judgment against you, it will be applicable only in the state of Nevada. Your properties in other states are not subject to the laws of Nevada.

One can enforce a judgment from one state in another state by filing a "sister-state judgment". Therefore, they may go after your properties in another state.
