Can I keep my home?

Posted on: 11th Jun, 2009 06:52 pm
Can I keep my home that we love and worked so hard to keep,
I've tried everything from non-profit org to even worked with
a legal aid firm. Trying to keep my home, but was told that couldn't ask for chapter13 or work with lender, because of too
many refinancing in the past. Back payments of $26,000.in
order to keep home or foreclosure. What can be done? I'm
11 months behind.
hi loverbun,

did you consult an attorney and check out if you qualified for chapter 13 bankruptcy? in my opinion, you should contact an expert legal professional and discuss your options with him. i don't think refinancing would ruin your chances of working with your lender. i would suggest you to contact your lender and inform him about your hardship. write a hardship letter to him and check out if he accepts your request for a loan modification.

thanks

Ms. Taitano said it was no use in doing the chapter 13, because of all my
re-financing since I waas in this house. She said that talking with a judge
about my situation, he might not give an okay to save my home, and that
he would say by all of the financing that I did, I knew what I was doing.
