my cousin and her son were forced to move from home by crazy husband, she has moved to a apartment, he got behind one time with house payment and they borrowed money to get it caught up,now he is behind again, she has a attorney for seperation, but its taking time and shes afraid of it going into foreclosure,he doesnt care and want move out, will the mortgage company work with her or what can she do in the mean time till he responds to her attorneys rough draft of her property, that alone he has 30 days to respond to,by than it may be to late with the house.
the lender will be happy to work with her if it's in a favorable sense. they don't want to begin an action any more than she wants them to do, but they'll be looking for solutions to the late problem.
i don't see much hope coming from your opening statement, though. if she's unable to reside in the home, it would seem rather unimportant (other than from a credit standpoint) to continue to pay that mortgage. there's not much that can be done with crazy people, of course, no matter what.
if he eventually leaves the premises, i suppose she'd be able to move back in and pick up with the payments (or make them now to prevent a foreclosure).
