late payment

Posted on: 23rd Mar, 2009 07:14 am
I had very good credit but this past year had several late payments due to husband being laid off couple of days right before we had a baby, and me not working because of having a baby. So needless to say last year was horrible and we had several late payments on house, and auto. So far this year I have been paying on time. But I was wondering what damage has been done to our credit and how long will it take to repair it. NO payments were over 30 days!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
my oh my, indeed! based on your description, you're in good shape. creditors don't report lates of less than 30 days.

one caveat to that above statement: do not be deceived by your due dates on credit cards, as paying after the due date may well be reported to the bureaus.

Thank you but some of them were over the 30 days by just a couple days, but late is late! Credit card was always paid on time. But auto and home was after 30 several times...so that was why I was asking...how long it would take to repair that part of the credit. It was never, ever 60 or 90 days late!

Welcome Guest,

I appreciate that you are making regular payments now. However, you should note that it will take some time to improve your credit.

It is good to hear that you have regular payments.. It will take quite some time for your credit to improve. Your credit is not in too much bad shape after all.

Hi,

Ok, I understand your financial problem. You many times done late payment. But you should know what is your late date of paying your payment. And if your late date has been collapsed then you should know how much is fine on late payment.

Because too many companies has rule to pay fine continue your plan, no hazards. For that take information from your company as I told above.

I hope you understand.

Regards
Dilip
