If I am being sued how can I make sure my house is not taken away? (Am currently making payments.) Would a quit claim help?
Welcome Charlie,
It would not be a good idea to quitclaim the property to someone else. This may be considered as a fraudulent act. If you are sued for your debts, your creditor can place a lien on your property. But again for that, the creditor will have to get a judgment from the court.

if you're making payments on a judgment, then having the judgment will not cause you to lose your home. if you neglect to pay, they can sue for foreclosure if it makes sense to them.
