I have a house in Las vegas that I owe 285k but is now worth 190, I am current on my payments of $2,100/month but I have a lawsuit against me that is for 500k and so a judgement is around the corner, when that happens I will no longer afford my payment, what should I do......Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome guest,
What kind of a lawsuit has been filed against you? and is it filed by the lender himself? You have been current on the mortgage so far. But unfortunately, you will not be able to afford it anymore. Therefore, you should talk to the lender about possible options to help keep the mortgage and the home. Maybe an alternative repayment plan can avoid you from missing payments.
