does anyone know much about us bank? my dad passed away, and we are behind on his payments, and i want to fix it, but i sent an anonymous email, to ask them what to do, they said i need a legal paper since i am not on the note, but it will take to long to get that in time. i am 3 months behind, and i dont want to lose this home. what can i do? i am really worried. i did send a letter requesting a couple of weeks, and as far as i know nothing has been done yet.

it is good to see that you have requested the lender for a couple of weeks to sort out things. i would suggest you to speak to the lender once again and check if they have granted your request or not. in order to transfer the mortgage in your name, you will have to refinance the loan. but lenders generally are not ready to refinance if one has been delinquent on payments. however, considering your situation, you can negotiate with the lender so that he refinances the loan.
