my sister was making payment on her house but she died of cancer but now we found out she has a lein on it how do we fix that
Hi,
What sort of lien is there on the property? Is it a tax lien or a mortgage lien? You cannot make the lien disappear until you pay off the debt. A lien is placed against the property, not against any person. Hence, even if the owner has died, the lien remains on the property until it is paid off in full.

unless you have a magic wand, that lien doesn't disappear. liens are filed for a variety of reasons, and in this case, it would need to be paid in full at the time the home is sold.
