I just tried to complete a consolidation thru WAMU, and although they held the original Morgage I was dropped like a hot potato because I have built a log home. I paid them for an appraisal, got an acceptance letter and a letter of commitment and then was dropped because my house is built with sticks! (I just spoke with JOE BUCHANNAN one of your reps on the phone - he should be following up)
Several lenders are allowing this type of home as collateral still. I closed a few of them with diffrent lenders. It can be done.
hi prosserhill!
welcome to forums!
you can try to refinance the loan at a a lower rate from other lenders as well. you can also go for a debt consolidation loan from other lenders. i think you should speak to some other lenders and explain your situation to them. i hope you will find a lender who will give you a debt consolidation loan.
feel free to ask if you have further queries.
