My previous (very fraudulent, greedy mortgage company - Champion Mortgage Company) sold my account to another very greedy fraudulent mortgage company HSBC, without me knowing. With the written contract, between Champion and myself, I would have to pay the escrow.
When Champion sold this account to HSBC, they never sent me anything to sign regarding they would take take escrow. I went on my merrily way paying escrow until all of a sudden, escrow is being paid by them and they have slapped a whopping extra three hundred dollars on the mortgage.
My previous mortgage had me to sign that there will be no escrow and stated in a letter that this new mortage would honor this contract. I never signed or heard from this company regarding escrow until this shocker.
Is this legal?
Help?

Hi Niecey,
HSBC should have informed you regarding the escrow account. You won't be knowing about the escrow account until they inform you about the same. You should contact the lender and let them know that you were never informed about the escrow account and check out if they can withdraw the extra three hundred dollars on the mortgage.
Thanks,
Jerry
