I applied for a mortgage on a 4 bedroom modular (on frame) price was 105K and I am putting 25k down. Mortgage was approved and ready to send to attorney, then they said they couldn't finance a on-frame modular. I have found on line that since the house was built to state code that it should qualify for traditional mortgage. Is there any thing I can do to get this process to go through legally. Is there state law that groups modulars with stick built, that may help me. Note: mind is a true certified modular but on frame according to stickers in kitchen cabnet.
Hi jackola!
Welcome to forums!
You should contact the local conventional lenders and apply for a mortgage with them. If your property satisfies the state laws, then the lenders will be ready to give you a mortgage provided you have a good credit score and income.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
