Around 4 years ago out property got short sold as we needed to move out of state for our jobs. Since then, we have saved money and improved our scores to buy a home. What are my options?
Hi Guest,
In case of conventional loans, the borrowers have to wait for 3 years to get a mortgage after short sale. However, for FHA loans, the time period is 2 years. As 4 years have passed since your property was short sold, you will be able to get a mortgage provided you meet all the other required criteria of the lender.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Guest,
I will suggest you to speak to the local lenders and take their help in this regard. They will look at your financial and credit situation and let you know whether or not you will be able to get the loan.
Thanks
