If the lender was considering your request for a loan modification, then they should not have foreclosed the property unless he rejected the request. Also, if your request for a loan modification is rejected, the lender should let you know about it. You may contact an attorney and check if you can take legal actions against him.

Hello Sussane, Well I was told by my mortgage lender that Fannie Mae declined my Loan Application, I contacted Fannie Mae and was told B Of A never submitted any request, Spoke to a man last night and was told the decission was made in June seemed a lil fishy since I didnt even send any documents till July , any feed back would be of help.

I, too, think that the whole matter is quite fishy. If you did not provide the lender with any documents till July, then how can they take a decision in the month of June? I would personally suggest you to contact and attorney and discuss the whole matter with him. The attorney will be able to guide you regarding the steps that you might be able to take in this matter.

I got a modification on my mortgage but they add 10 years and 25000. balloon note at the end and i also sent 12000.cash and didn't receive a 1098 on the interest.I've made several attempts to find out where the cash went and no answer
