I am getting denied by Ocwen for a loan modification. I am in default for 5 months already and Ocwen has given me the same reply over and over again that they are unable to offer me a modification because “The Owner of your loan does not allow loan modification." Why do they say so? Any luck on getting a loan modification after being denied with the same reason?
Hi Guest,
May be your loan is not serviced by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. So, may be you are facing difficulty in getting a loan modification. You may contact Ocwen and check out who your loan owner is and then try negotiating with them.
Thanks,
Jerry

Welcome Guest,
The option that Jerry has given is quite good. If you know your loan servicer and negotiate with him accordingly, there are chances that you may be able to get a modification.
