There are chances the lender may report your late payments to the credit bureau. I would suggest you to speak to your lender immediately and check out what needs to be done in this regard.

cancel you out? no...as noted, they'll report late payments to credit agencies, and that'll hamper your credit score, but no lender would take further action for one missed (late?) payment.
