My mother-in-law lives in FL and has a mobile home loan. She has had some issues come up that needed repairs and being on a fixed income she's been trying to get the loan modified with her current lender. They have been giving her a run around and I would like to know what she needs to do to get a modified loan.
hi dm4js
if she is current on her loan, then the lenders won't be ready to give her a loan modification. however, if she is delinquent, she needs to inform the lender about her hardship and check out if she can get a modification or not. if she is current on her loans terms, she may try out for a refinance provided she has equity in the property.
thanks.
