I'm in the middle of Modification on property given to 10 siblings before Mom's death in 2004. I'm the meidator and the business properietor for the property, plus it's my residence. I'm engaged in a modification on loan mortgage which is going into ARM May 1, 2009. Can I add a sibling to my current title as an added critique while this phase is being conducted?
an added critique? i'm not sure what your plan is here, but any changes to ownership would have to be recognized by and approved by the lender.
Thanks for quick response, to further my concern "Can I add sibling after the modification is completed, and where would I make this change happen at (County Court, Clerk, local Title Company)? I'm like a fish out of water on this issue and need to be assured of making the best possible steps in securing residency for following generations. Appreciated. FR
Hi faitha!

If you want add your sibling to the property, you will have to sign a quitclaim deed and record it at the county recorder's office. However, before doing any kind of transfer, you should inform your lender.
