Loan Modification

I tried to modify my loan with my bank, but they said I was not over he 31% dept to mortgage ration needed for assistance. I don't understand how they could refuse us when we are teachers and our gross net is not exatly what it says to be on our paychecks, as teachers we work 10 months so after that gross net, holdback is taking out of every months check to cover the 2 months we are out of school.
We have made our payments on time for the 2 years we have been in the house but now with he new child due in July, we are going to be living from check to check trying to figure out how to take on the new child care bill and pay our mortgage and other bills. Is there any other help out there for me and my family?
Hey ledarion,
A friend of mine had a similar situation so he contacted a mortgage modification company. The one he worked with is on usmortmod.com so you can check them out. I know they were very quick with their work.
And also I think they can find a solution for you. Just give them a call and check it out...

And congratulations on the baby

mortgage modification companies are a waste of time, energy and money. you should NEVER pay for assistance with a modification. there are numerous FREE counselors that you can find on the hud website (www.hud.gov). please check this out and get the no-cost help you deserve. paying someone jeopardizes your ability to make payments even more than you're already in jeopardy!

so i go to this usmortmod website, and read their "guarantee" policy. if you miss a date on their deadlines by a day, you lose your guarantee. if you choose to have a lawyer represent you in an appeal (should the modification request be denied), the guarantee policy is VOID!

what a lovely policy. you lose because you can't make payments on yoru mortgage, so you send them your hard earned money that they keep unless you get denied your modification request. but that's not enough - you have to appeal 3 times before you can get your money back. but wait, THEY reserve the right to make you go through 4 appeals before you get any money back...but wait again...if you decide to have a lawyer represent you, you lose your money completely. keep in mind that throughout the whole process, you DO NOT have a lawyer representing you.

these are greedy people making money off the backs of those who can least afford to pay it.

Well, you know, I was just forwarding good experience from my friend... That's all... Since I'm no expert at this, you're probably right...
Thanks.

i'm not trying to criticize you, srleee. i simply don't believe in throwing good money after bad, which is what these companies force people to do.

Ok :) I didn't think you have something against me :) I was just spreading a good word and I now what you're talking about...
Thanks for the advice, I actually didn't know that there is a free service that does this...
