Deed in lieu of forclosure

Posted on: 29th Jan, 2011 12:26 pm
we filed chapter seven and surrendered the house.our bankruptcy will have been discharged for two years in september. b of a still shows my name on property even though it was surrendered.we vacated the property and the house has been vacant since. my question is do i need to do a deed in lieu of foreclosure to get my name off the house even though the court papers show it was included and surrendered in the chapter seven two years ago?
I guess the property has not been sold off yet. As a result, the property is still in your name. You can apply for a deed in lieu of foreclosure so that the property is sold off asap and you will be able to get rid of the property.
