7 years ago I Vol. Surrendered my Manu. Home.

It has been on my credit and shows a balance and I do believe they have sent it to a collection agency (long time ago)

Its not on my public report, just the negative statement.

It says Vol, Surrendered.

They have never came after me but once wanted to settle for a lower amount.

I am wondering if it will get off by the 7 year mark (august) or should I start sending stuff to the credit companies to make SURE it is off?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Dave
Hi Guest

Any negative item will remain on your credit report for 7 years. Then it will get automatically removed. Right now, you do not have to send stuffs to the credit bureaus to remove it from your credit report. I would suggest you to wait for the completion of 7 years and check if they have removed it or not. If they haven't removed it, then you can contact them and dispute the issue.

Thanks.

You've made it this far, just hold off another few months and you should be O.K.
