I declared a chapter 7 BK in Oct-2009 I continued to make payments and lived in the house, without reaffirming until April-2012. I walked away and moved out of state. I'm looking into buying a home on my VA. The house sold in Dec-2012. I pulled up all 3 credit reports and scores in April-2013. The reports showed the Chapter 7 but nothing about a foreclosure. I would like to buy a home on my VA but was wondering why a foreclosure hasn't showed up. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi roughrider!
Welcome to the forums!
May be the lender did not report the foreclosure on your credit report. As a result, it did not appear on your credit report. Now it may become easier for you to get a VA loan for buying a new property. You should get in touch with the local VA lenders and apply for a loan.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi roughrider,
It is good that the foreclosure has not shown up on your credit. As Sussane has said, this will make things easier for you. If you meet all the required criteria of the VA lenders, you will be able to get the loan.
