Options after loan mod?

Posted on: 20th Jul, 2013 11:19 am
I did a loan mod with Wells Fargo recently, made two payments and had yet another unexpected finical crisis that set me back. I owe 3 payments by 7-31-13.

Does the fact that a loan mod was implemented recently change my options for a repayment plan to catch up?
I can make 2 payments on 7-31, and 2 in Aug, which will bring me completely current.

I called today and was told I need to discuss with the loan mod dept., but they were closed. I want to prepare myself on what to expect. What will they likely say? Do they have to offer a repayment plan? This is an FHA loan, by the way.
Hi Guest,

It may be difficult for you to get a repayment plan. However, there is no harm in speaking to the lender's loan modification department in this regard. They may let you know whether or not there are any other options for you.

Thanks

Hi Guest!

Welcome to the forums!

You should get in touch with the lender's loan modification department and speak to them regarding your financial situation. It will be completely their discretion as to whether or not they will consider your request.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
