I had a plumber threaten to put a lien on my property. He had his associate bring down the contract for me to sign and there was a statement on it about my cursing at them that I didn't think needed to be there and also I wanted to ask him a question before I signed it. He was yelling at me telling me he was through and wouldn't talk to me. He got out of his truck, called me a b**** and grabbed the contract from me. He left and didn't leave a copy of anything with me. Can he file a lien in that situation?
Hi Murphfa!
Welcome to forums!
If you haven't signed any contract with the plumber, then he won't be able to place a lien on your property.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
