MY SON AND DAUGHTER IN LAW SIGNED A PROMISSORY NOTE. THIS NOTE WAS NOT RECORDED. THEY ARE GETTING A DIVORCE AND MY SON SAYS SHE IS RESPONSIBILE FOR HALF THE NOTE SINCE SHE SIGNED THE NOTE. THIS NOTE WAS NOT RECORDED ANY WHERE. IN THE SETTLEMENT IS SHE LIABLE FOR HALF THE NOTE
Hi Guest!
Welcome to forums!
As the note is not recorded, your daughter-in-law may not be responsible for paying the dues. However, it will be better if she can contact an attorney and take his opinion in this matter.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
