When I bought the property, the sellers of the house did not inform me that it was in the FEMA Class A Flood Zone. Any chance that I could recoup the costs?
Hi Guest,
Well, you may not be able to recoup any costs. Moreover, flood zones change yearly, so it may be the case that the seller did not know about it. You, as a buyer, are liable to research the flood zones before you sign the contract.
Take care

Generally, and seller is only required to disclose any patent defects which the seller knows about. If they did hide the fact it was in a flood zone, you may collect damages. What costs have you incurred?
