i dont hold morgage but payed for the morgage relitive went into bankrupt.putting house now in lieu. hes has not lived here for 18 years.im on quit deed and lived here my whole life here can prove everything. i need to know what my rights are and if he can just force me out. and if bank can force me out and how long would i have before i have to leave give or take.... live in michigan :shock

Welcome to forums!

If your name is mentioned in the property deed, then you'll have ownership rights to that property. Thus, no one can force you to leave the property. If your name is on the mortgage docs and if you're unable to pay the loan, then the lender will foreclose the property. In that case, you'll have to leave it. After the foreclosure, the lender will give you a 3 day notice to leave the property.
