bought a home which required me to take out a temporary second mortage until close of another property a month later. after a month, took cashier's to second mortgage holder for pay-off. second mortgage lender was in process and sold servicing of 2nd after pay-off and i recently found out that the new servicer filed a title lien against the property. unfortunately, the filer has no record of the loan ever existing and say they can't help get the lien discharged. right now, i can't find anyone to acknowledge the loan existed except at the county courthouse and my closing records. any ideas how to make somone feel accountable to give me a release of the lien?
Welcome gmblw,

I must say that you're in a tough situation. As you've the closing records which state that you took out the loan, you should contact your original lender regarding the loan. He will direct you to the right person who can help you with a lien release letter. You should also contact an attorney and take his help in this matter.
