We are presently renting a house which we wanted to purchase in the coming few months. When we visited the landlord for discussion it, he told us that he did not own the property. The bank did. We feel that we have been cheated and lied to. Can someone rent property which has been owned by the bank?
Hi Ivory,
Well, as far as I know, if the property is owned by the bank, then the landlord cannot rent you the property. Also, the rent payments should go to the lender.
Take care

Hi Ivory,
I agree with what Sara has said. If the property is owned by the bank, then the landlord does not have the legal rights to rent the property.
Thanks
