Thank you for hearing me. I am about to have my house repossessed. Last Aug. I lost my job and I lived so far out of town I could not get a job. It's a long story but just before, 2 days, my truck blew up. I had no transportation. Then my wife 's car broke down, 2 days, so in six days I lost both cars and my job. I could fix 1 car, so I fixed hers. She still had a job. Because of the economic times I just barely found a job, 2 weeks before I hit the street. We abandoned the house after my trying to find a job any where. She left me for another man, after 25 yrs. I live in an apartment in town and barely make enough to pay her some money for my son, the bankruptcy lawyer and my expenses. My house is a mobile and it's getting old, and I did some work that was not up to code, it's falling apart. I have no car, it's 30 miles from work. Do I have any options. The only thing that is valuable is the land itself. But I can't do it alone, nor on the money I make or where my job is. My thoughts are to let it go and start over, sometimes that is best. Does anyone have any good advice? Thank you again. Cory
Hi mindtaster,

You are indeed in a very bad situation and there seems to be little options available for you. Considering the financial condition you are in, I do feel letting the home go into foreclosure would probably be a good option for you. It will affect your credit, though. You can also do a deed in lieu of foreclosure which will damage your credit a little less than a normal foreclosure on your home would do.
