my father passed away & was sole owner of his mortgage, as his son am I responsible for his mortgage & bills? he had no monies
spuds, if you want to keep the home on which that mortgage was held, then you'd want to make payments - or make arrangements in some way. legally, you are not responsible, however; nor for any of the other bills.
Hi spuds, Legally your not responsible as george has stated. Was there some sort of deed? I think you can still take over the payment and retain the house.
