my husband and i wanted to buy a home, which we found one we liked. my husband went to find out about the loan work we would have to do. the load compume
said they could go ahead and run a loan and see if it would go thought. well it did, i ask my husband didn`t i have to sigh the papers to. and he said he guess not.
we then went to the lawers office to finish the deal on the home.
the lawer started reading all that was in volue when the deed and load. when he got to the load papers, he stated that my husband was listed as single. he the the lawer that was not what he told the lady at the load company.
he told her he was married. the lawer said he would take care of that, so we both put our name on the deed. my question is this what happens if something should happen to my husband, would i lose my house. it has been me who has made the load payments for the last 8 years, he is disable, and can not work.

Hi shayvonne,
If your name is mentioned on the property deed and on the mortgage docs and if you make the mortgage payments on time, then you won't lose your home.
Thanks,
Jerry
