Hi kaitlynsmommy,
Did you apply for the section 8 voucher program? What are the problems you are facing while applying for this program? This program is available for very low-income households and helps the families to choose privately owned rental housing. To know more about this program you can check out the following link:
Check out the income requirements for qualifying for the section 8 housing program. The Section 8 voucher assistance is given to very low-income households, households already assisted under the Housing Act of 1937 as well as the households with incomes up to 80% of median income of the area that qualify to receive a voucher. Once you check out the eligibility criteria and feel that you are eligible you can contact the nearby housing authority and apply for it.
Thanks

Hi bonnie!
Welcome to the forums!
In order to get a voucher for Section 8, you'll have to contact the HUD office. They will help you in applying for Section 8. As far as food pantries are concerned, you need to speak to the other people staying in the locality and get information from them.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
