Sell loan after loan modification

Posted on: 24th May, 2013 01:51 am
I got a loan modification approved from my lender and was on the 2nd of the 3 payments that I need to make. Now, today, surprisingly, I received a letter from the lender stating that they have sold off the loan some other company!! Can they really do this??
Hi Guest,

The lender can sell off the loan to any other company as per their wish. If the new lender retains the terms and conditions of the loan that you were paying now, then nothing will change.

Take care

Hi Guest,

I agree with Sara that they will be able to sell off your loan to anyone they feel like and at any point of time. In such a situation, you will have to contact with the new company and check out if the terms and condition of your loan remain the same.

Thanks
