Short sale > buying a fixer

I am in the process of short selling.. I refuse to pay so much for house and go in to debt while doing so... So that process is started.. we are late for the first time in 6 years of owning our home... The mortage company just sent a letter after receiving out packet (short sale) The letter explained that if we complied with all of their requests and did all the paperwork that they would assist us with a 1500.00 relocation fee. The question.. how long should the process take ? we have an approved buyer with a cash offer.

Not that I am in a hurry but does anyone know.. ?
Welcome wildman,

If you have a buyer for your property, you should contact the lender and if he approves them, then you'll be able to sell off the property asap. However, if the lender does not agree to your offer, then it will to take quite some time to sell off the property.
