How do we get BofA to sign off on a lien that has been paid.

Posted on: 06th May, 2009 07:29 pm
My property& mobilehome has been paid off since 2001. BofA has never signed off on my property or mobilhome. BofA sold the loan to GreenPoint. Green Point has sent me papers that it is fully paid, & recorded. But BofA still has their name on it as owners & tells me I have to do a title search & jump through all kinds of hoops. I have been going through this for 8 years now. BofA did not sign off when they sold ithe loan to Green Point and even with the paper work from Green Point BofA is still refuseing to sign off .
What can I do to get them to sign off. I'm at my witts end
Hi Leesimpson,

If they have sold off the the loan to another lender, they should have signed the required documents. I would suggest you to contact an attorney and let him deal with BofA in this regard.

Thanks
