I have been recieving Social security for 47 yrs. Now the goverment is saying I owe them close to 77,000...Because they have over payed me ..
I didn't know nothin about it either. Also so my father was going to leave me the house. But now he's thinking about taking my name off the will because he doesn't want the State to take it... What I wanted to know is can they really do that???????? :x

Welcome tudor,
If you do not pay off the dues to the government, then there are chances that the lender will place a lien on your property, if any. This will help them to recover their dues when you sell off the property.
