My mortgage broker prequalified me for a loan
Everyday closer to closing, said everything was fine. The day I was to received "Clear to close", he said that credit was not good enough. Nothing had changed since starting process.
I am out about $6,000 for appraisals, downpayment, etc
Any way to recoup this from broker? State was Texas.
Thank you in advance......

Most likely you did not do what a normal buyer was suppose to do to get Pre Approved. You probably drug your feet getting the broker required docs, kept shopping in the meanwhile driving your scores down and then when you were ready for the loan...oops...no loan for you!
I bet if the truth be known, it was all your fault and now you want to blame the broker, here at a time in history that you have to walk on water to get a loan. You are most likely a Know It All borrower that refused to do what you were asked to do.
