Has anyone out there ever been sued for a deficiency judgment????
Hi unclebuck,
A person can be sued for the deficiency judgment provided if it is mentioned in the state laws. Laws vary from state to state. Depending upon your state laws, you may or may not be sued for the deficient amount.

Yep thats correct you need to check your state law and see if your state allows this.
Most of the states doe not allow mortgage companies to sue the home owner after the foreclosure
One interestign part is if the court do nto know where you live after the foreclsoure they cannot domuch and if the court servers the papers to wrong address that case will be over turned

Yes, I understand the deficiency judgment laws in my state, Nevada, I was wondering why I have never heard of anyone actually being sued for this. It must not happen much. Thanks
Not if state of Nevada allows this, have you check yoru state law. May be they do nto allow this, that's why you have not heard about it
