I surrendered my home to the community finance company in 3-2009. We checked on the home for any 4 sale signs which was never posted. The finance company says that we still owe the full balance for the home. They said they tried to sell which we know they did not. We spoke with manager at community and was told that they did some minor repairs to get home ready to list but someone was interested before it was ready. So in 7-2009 the community did a straight rental because they are no longer doing a rent to own. these new people are renting our home and the finance company is still trying to say that we owe the full balance. According to our home surrender agreement that we signed they have to sell the home. and we would owe the deficiency. This is stopping us from getting even an apartment. What can I do?
Hi sammygail!
Welcome to forums!
Unless the property is sold, you would be owing the dues to the lender. You can ask your lender to speed up the process and sell off the property. The lender can try and sell off the property to the present renters. This will help you in getting rid of the property.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

what "lender relation you will get benefitted" means is a mystery.
