This is my husbands credit report which has the fed. tax lein and the state tax judgement. His score from Experian is still 665. But he also still is listed on a home loan with his ex-wife. Will he ever be able to get a home loan? My credit is in the 700's but I was laid off for a year and half and have just started working again a month ago. If he can not get a loan, can I use his employment history? And if I can buy a house can the Feds put a lein against my house since I did not know he owed all of this and file separate taxes?
As there is a tax lien in your husband's name, it will be difficult for him to get a mortgage unless he pays off the tax lien. Unless he pays off the lien, I don't think the lender will be ready to let him cosign for the mortgage so that you can take advantage of your employment history.
