I have been approved for an FHA loan using the automated underwriting system. But I have a state NOT federal tax lien in a state that I no longer live in the loan officer did not say anything about it.
Will this lien prevent me from closing?

The tax lien can hamper your chances of getting a mortgage. There are chances that the lender will ask you to pay off the tax lien and then apply for a mortgage.
