my husband and i purchase a home through a tax sale on 10/25 and started the eviction process on 10/29. she hired a lawyer who states thats since we did not have the quitdeed yet we could not evict her yet. Is this true

You should have the property deed transferred in your name. Unless the property is in your name, you won't be able to evict the person living in the property.
